Sixth graders at Lanier who wish to join the debate team should come to 6th Grade Debate Club which meets every Tuesday, in the debate room from 3:50 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  There is no sign-up or try-outs.  Students need only show up ready to participate and will need to bring various materials as assigned from week to week.  All 6th graders participating at the club should plan on competing in our annual Sixth Grade Debate Tournament, here at Lanier, December 14 & 15.  This is an in-house tournament for only Lanier students but is treated like a real event.  Competitors are expected to prepare, dress up and awards will be given out Saturday night.
